Default Projection of domain onto DB

Hello everyone.

I am struggling against generating domains on the curved surface.

Like fig1. region A is the target area that I would like to generate structured domains. However, I failed to do it directly on the surface A due to complex curvatures(?). So, I planned to use 'projection' by using domain B.

When I tried to do that, there existed unprojected points (or area).
As shown in Fig2, 4.4% of domain can't project on the A.
Although I changed various projection control options, the problem is still unsolved.

Did I miss something?
(A: Database (B-Spline surfaces created by 'patch' function), B: domain)

Thank you,

Best wishes.

As far as I know, no projection will work well for that wavy surface.

I suggest you use Create, On Database Entities... and create connectors on the perimeter and then manually break up into the four pieces you need.

Then create the eight interior connectors using Create, Draw Curves, Curve on Database... or Line on Database...

Then use Create, Assemble Special, Domain... to build the five structured domains.

Also check out the github scripts:
