Dynamic Mesh for OpenFOAM

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I am new for the dynamic mesh generation. Can anyone tell me how to setup in pointwise if I want to generate two separate volumes for the OpenFOAM case?

I have done the following command. However, it seems like it doesn't work in OpenFOAM.
CAE->Set volume conditions -> "volumeToCell"

The following figure shows the computational domain. I just want to separate it into two sub-domains.

Thanks,
Chao

The details here are a little sparse. Can you please provide more information on what you are trying to accomplish?

Also, please ZIP and attach the PW file if you can.

If you are using "sliding interfaces", you can:
  • Export each block separately.
  • Use the VolumeToCell VCs to create cell sets.
  • Use the faceSet BCs to create face sets for the sliding interfaces.
    • These sets can be used by OpenFOAM tools to isolate cell/faces.
    • People who know more about OF would need to provide details about these tools.
