Pointwise Surface Normals for Elements
 

Hi everyone,

I have a 3D object and I meshed the surface of it using unstructured mesh. I want to obtain the surface normals of the elements. Is there anyway to get an output like this in Pointwise? I could not find anything related on the internet or in the Pointwise.

Please provide a more detailed description of what you are trying to accomplish. What specific information do you need?

Most likely, you will need to use a Glyph script to get that mind of information.

I was able to solve my problem with taking grid output as .stl file and it gives element surface normals in the file. After that I sort out the output file using MATLAB to get all the normals.
