3D - T-Rex with different wall spacings (Coanda Jet)

Hi all,

I am trying to mesh a vehicle model with Coanda actuation at the A-Pillar.
To properly resolve the Coanda Jet, the area around the A-Pillar needs extra refinement and a tighter wall spacing than the rest of the model. Unfortunately, I am really struggling to get a quality mesh with these two different wall spacings.

I attached a few pictures so you can see where the problem is. My approach is to first build a structured block around the A-Pillar for a good resolvement of the jet and then use T-Rex to build the rest of the mesh. Therefore, I set the purple domains of the structured block to a "Match" BC and the green domain to "Wall", just as the rest of the surface domains. If I run T-Rex, the advancing anisotropic fronts immediately stop at the corners of the structured block, which in the end results in highly skew cells in this area.

Has anybody tips how do deal with this problem? Am I doing the right approach with creating a structured block prior to running T-Rex? And which stopping criteria is reached in the areas where T-Rex immediately stops creating anisotropic cells?

Some additional info: To ensure a y+ around 1, I apllied very tight wall spacings - for the Coanda Jet 2e-6m and for the remainder of the surface 8e-6m.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards
Niklas
