Hi,

I'm trying to do a volume meshing of a 3d wing. Surface mesh was created using tri and quad and the grid looks ok.

However, when I try to do volume meshing, I got the error:

Error: Failed to make volume grid.
Error: Isotropic tets could not be formed, but T-Rex cells will be retained. Try setting other isotropic attributes, followed by refine.

So what is the problem and what should I do? What should I change from the isotropic attributes?

Thanks.

I'd also like to know what causes that problem explicitly. I usually resolve that by refining the domains where I am creating the T-REX from, but I do not really know what causes that.

It is not clear for me what "exactly" is happening for your case. But based on what you mentioned maybe this help:

Aniso-iso blend | Isotropic seed layer | Collision buffer

I think the first one 'aniso-iso blend' will help you.
