V18.4R2 and V18.3R2 joinConnectors disagreement

Hello there,

Today I switch to V18.4R2 in middle of my grid script development on CRM geometry.

I ran my scripts that generate surface mesh from scratch and got surprised by getting different numbers of connectors on same database entity using 18.3R2 and 18.4.R2.

Please note model assembly is exactly same for both versions.

Here is one example. There is a FSF bracket in the inboard wing. For this part I have same model assembly however:

In V18.3R2 (based which I have been developing my grid script so far) when I run

Code:

pw::Connector createOnDatabase -merge 0.01 -joinConnectors 45
I get 12 neat connectors as I went for. Please refer to image1 in the attachment to see this.

In V18.4R2 when I run the same code:

Code:

pw::Connector createOnDatabase -merge 0.01 -joinConnectors 45
I get something unacceptable. Please refer to image2 in the attachment to see this.

In V18.4R2 when I run the same line of code with 1 as joinconnectos' argument I get again something similar to image2 which is strange. Please refer to image3 to see this.

V18.3R2 & V18.4R2:

In both versions when I create connectors without join I get 20 cons. Please refer to image4 to see this. It is same for both versions.

Meanwhile, something different is happening with my FSF connectors that has something to do with the -joinConnectors and I am not going to get into it now here.

Please update me what has changed in the V18.4R2 about the -joinConnector that I am getting different results in comparison to the V18.3R2. I guess already it has something to do with flashpoint.

Best,
Pay
