Joining two Blocks, with nonuniform shared domain

Hello!

I have a wuite complex Geometry and im not right shure, how to define the Block. now I have two Blocks: One upside and one downside the Model.
I would like to Join them but it seems not possible.
Do you have an Idea how I can define this in one Block?

You cannot join the upper and lower structured blocks because the wing creates a gap between them.

Using Pointwise 18.4R3...

If your solver can handle unstructured hex blocks, then you need to set Grid, Set Type to Unstructured. Then Edit, Join will join the two structured blocks into a single unstructured (hex) block.

WARNING: once you do this, you will no longer be able to change the block dimensions in a structured way. And if you re-initialize the blocks, they will no longer be hexes.

Is there a reason why you need to join them?

Many of the unstructured CAE exporters will export this grid as a single, unstructured volume if all blocks are in the same VC. See CAE, Set Volume Conditions....

Thanks a lot first of all. I try to export the grid to OpenFoam at unfortunatly I always have problems with exporting many blocks.
I also would like to avois unstructered meshes.
Maybe its random and my mistake. Where can I find more information about the export and about good featured preferences for it? I think at the pointwise wiktonary is really less information about good practice.
