Hello,
I am trying to create a wedge mesh for modeling the flow through an axisymmetric CD nozzle, and its plume. I am using OpenFOAM to run the simulation. The general procedure I have used is 1. draw 2d profile of nozzle and plume region 2. dimension connectors and create domains 3. extrude -> rotate, 5 degrees, about axis of symmetry (in this case, (L,0,0) point where L is nozzle length) 4. define all boundary conditions 5. export CAE Now, at step 5, each boundary shows up and Pointwise tells me the export went okay (no errors in the script), however the nozzle axis boundary never shows up, and im left with a lot of points written to a .vrml file. Running checkMesh in openfoam also goes okay, but since the axis is never defined in the export I can't move forward with the solver. Im not sure why Pointwise isnt exporting this one boundary? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pictures and pointwise file attached, boundary in question is the bottom set of connectors with the 3 poles. I am using V2023.2. p.s. couldnt attach the .pw file, zipped or otherwise, will amend the post when I can |
