Hello,
I'm using Pointwise for my MS final study project. I need to simulate a flow around a flat plate wing. I've used unstructured triangles surface mesh and unstructured farfield till now. Both of them created with automatic Pointwise functions. The simulations converge but I'm not fully satisfied with the results. So I'm trying to create a structured surface mesh and an unstructured farfield. These are my steps: - creating connectors on database entities, then adjusting the numbers of points and the spacing. With assemble domains I created the surface meshes; - normal extrusion for creating the boundary layer around my wing keeping attention to the symmetry plane (y); - creating a half sphere domain for the farfield; -assemble special block between the half sphere and the internal wing with his boundary layer. The problem is that when I try to assemble the block and I select the interior faces I'm not able to click "save face" but only "save baffle face" and some connectors remain orange. Consequently the initialization of the created block always fails. What's wrong? I've read tutorials, watched videos but I can't get if there is some missing steps. Could someone help me? |
