Hello,
I have created a 3D mesh from a 2D mesh around an airfoil. I used the periodic translate option to create the other periodic boundary. Then assembled other domains and blocks. I am getting highly non-orthogonal mesh elements in the C-blocks. I am not sure why this is happening. How can I fix this ?

Thanks,
GG

I think you need to 'fan' those cells on the boundary out a bit more. What I mean is increase the spread of cells on your boundary. You have a close grouping of cells on your airfoil surface which needs to be spread out as your approach the farfield domain. In an ideal world you would have a fairly uniform cell width at your farfield.

How have you constructed your farfield? Did you 'grow' the mesh from a surface mesh using a normal extrusion? Or do you have a connector on the farfield? It is much easier to alter the farfield if you have a connector.
