It is highly appreciated if you know and answer the following questions about how to use gridgen:
1) Can it read autocat file? How? 2) Can it output the grid (i,j,k,x,y,z) into a file that can be read by a fortran code? How? 3) how to generate a simple mesh for a cubic box? I have the menu but no time to read for details. Thanks a lot for your quick answer. GER |

1) Not sure 2) Out your grid in Plot3d format 3) Generate a domain and one normal connector and use the block creation -> hyperbolic generator -> extrude along connector (if the version of gridgen you are using supports this).
Not to be snippy here, but these are fairly simple and routine tasks in gridgen. You need to make the time to pick these sorts of things up by working through parts of the manual. |

1) Can read IGES by default, you can get add-ons that allow you to read some other formats as well.
2) Plot3D is the easiest, you can basically output it in any format, it depends on the read statements in your code. -- Jarmo |
