Visualization of results for REEF3D

Hi, REEF3D team
Thanks to your software. I use it to simulate sediment transport.
Here some problem about using paraview.
1. In the view of velocity ,I only need water result .So I choose points by different "rho". Is there any more way to choose water points ?And I want to trace and ink the boundary of air, water and sediment. I need a picture like the paper, "Numerical modelling of pipeline scour under the combined action of waves and current with free-surface capturing"Fig.9.
2. Also about velocity , I want a velocity vector diagram, which has some arrows . Like this paper," Numerical Modelling of Arctic Coastal Erosion due to Breaking Waves Impact Using REEF3D"Fig. 4.

1. The best way to visualise water only, is to use the "clip" filter in Paraview and selected "Clip Type"->"scalar". Then for the scalar, you use "phi", which is the level set function. The value has to be "0", i.e. the zero level set. Make sure to remove the tick from the "inverse" box.

2. For the vectors, select the "Glyph" filter. Both "Orientation Array" and "Scale Array" need to be set to "velocity". The vector type can be changed by selecting a different "Glyph Type".

thank you ,it work well!

Hi Yangshihang,

I am also working on sediment scour simulation and am not able to visualize the scour on Paraview.
I want to ensure that I am not making any mistakes in the control and ctrl files, May I request you to share your control and ctrl files?
