Hi Team REEF3D,

The REEF3D: CFD use Level Set (LS) Method to capture interface, but the LS method has the difficulty with volume conservation after reinitialization. How this problem is addressed?

Best Wishes,

Hi Freya,
As you can see from Bihs et al (2016) https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compfluid.2016.09.012, the level set method in REEF3D is implemented with high order discretisation schemes. Along with a sufficiently fine grid size, there are no problems with volume conservation.

Hope that helps
