Hi, REEF3D Team
I simulated a focused wave case which is slightly nonlinear and the water surface profile with the largest water surface elevation over the domain is asymmetric. Also, the most symmetric profile has lower biggest crest. However, in a slightly nolinear case, the most symmetric one should be same the largest one. From the paper of Wave-Structure Interaction of Focussed Waves With REEF3D, Bins. et al (2016) also produced asymmetric profile while the profile from experiment is clearly symmetric. I have tried to refined the mesh to 0.0005m and it is not improved much. Why does this problem arise and is it possible to fix it? Best Wishes, |

Hi Rouxiao Chen,
I think it would be most helpful if you could post figures of your results and your input, then we could have a look. |
