Hi,

Is possible to simulate settling of falling sphere for various Reynolds numbers? If then how do we set material properties such as density of sphere?

I am exploring this problem using REEF3D.

Hi Govind,
This should technically be possible but I have not worked with such a problem.

The sphere has to be defined as a "floating" body. You will need an stl file of the sphere you want to use (use any CAD model to generate one).
Then use the X options to import the stl file, set the material properties, activate the 6 dof motion etc.

Hope that helps
