Modelling of sloping sand berm in Reef3d

Dear all,
I have been trying to replicate the 'Numerical modelling of breaking wave induced seawall scour' performed by Ahmad et al.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...7838391830468X
But I couldn't model the sloping sand berm and false bottom in the numerical setup.
It would be great if someone could help.

Thanks
Dainey

Could you describe your problem in more detail and share the input files you use?

Dear Dr Arun
Thank you for your response.

I have been trying to replicate the breaking wave induced scouring as in the paper mentioned above. But I couldn't model the sloping sand berm.

A sediment transport code was made after referring some tutorials posted online.

Control file and sediment transport code is posted below separately.

Could you please help me in modelling the sand berm?
I would be grateful if you could check the sediment transport code as well.

Thank you
Dainey

Hi!
Firstly, I hope you are using the latest release candidate for your simulations. Several changes have been made to the sediment transport algorithm over time to increase the stability and efficiency of the simulations.

Here are some tips that can be useful for you:
Define structures in the NWT using the S options. O options are deprecated and not supported anymore.
Use T if you want features that can erode.

In ctrl.txt
Remove S 17
S 37 doesn't need to be so high

S 57 0.0
(You need to define the domain starting from zstart =-0.3 m) This maintains the top level of the erodible bed at z=0.0.

Not essential but recommended to use a relaxation zone S 73 instead of S 77,
say for eg.
S 73 0.0 0.2 0.0 4.4 0.0

Hope this helps
