Dear all,
I have been trying to model the scouring near seawall toe for 15 hours but unfortunately, some error occurs. After 500 seconds accretion takes place faster than erosion.
Could anyone please help me to resolve the issue?
I do not have any idea about incorporating seabed slope. I would be grateful if anyone could help.
Input files and output is attached.

Thanks
Dainey

Hi Dainey,

I tried running your simulation using the ctrl and control files you provided. Potentially the waves aren't behaving as you are expecting? After 2.5s the wave profile looks like this in paraview (attached).

I would first ensure you are getting your waves correct before jumping into sediment transport.

Cheers.

Pjoynt is right (Thank you!)

Dainey, the tank is too low.

You have:
zmax=0.6,
d=0.30, H=0.28

So about 0.58/0.6 (not including 0.3 m bed) is filled with water, with 0.16 m for air. This in you case is 3 cells.
This is insufficient.

I suggest starting with zmax=1.2 m atleast.

Hi how are you?.
You know with your original input files "ctl" and "control" the iteration is stopped with the message "Stop Emergy", since for the established conditions, the flow is very high for the numerical domain. Now, changing the "B 99 0" parameter to "B 99 1" achieves a greater number of iterations but returns to displaying the "Stop Emergy" critical speed message.
I would like to be able to help but first I need to solve this and know in what conditions they have to be given to avoid this message in the execution.

Hi Hernest,
The "Emergency stop" error appears due to unphysically large velocities in the domain. So, you would need to check where exactly things are going wrong in the tank.

B 99 0 stands for not having a beach. B 99 1 introduces a numerical beach.
One way to look at it, if your simulation works for the former and not for the latter, then may be there are extremely large reflections that then cause other problems?
You need to look at the output (vtu files) velocity fields to locate the source of the high velocities to determine what the problem is.

Thaks so much for the orientation.
Thank you very much!
