I don't think flame propagation is periodic /...

I don't think flame propagation is periodic / symmetric.
But I am not expert
If I am right, then you will have to compute the full sphere.

it depends on your BC. If they are periodic,...

it depends on your BC.
If they are periodic, you can use periodic BC
If they are periodic, you can use symmetric BC (or 2d-axi model)
