Depends on your Fluent version... I use v. 6.3....

Depends on your Fluent version... I use v. 6.3. It should be somewhere as the zone type in the boundary conditions panel for the zone that you have defined in your meshing software (like Gambit)....

If it is a solid, you will have to go into boundary conditions panel and declare it as a solid. Then you can choose the material in the setup there.
