Hi guys,
I have a 2d curve data designed in NX9. I want to import it into Star CCM+ and unfortunately Star CCM+ only accepts .csv format for 2d curves. I couldn't find a way to export 2d curves into .csv format (although there is a command of " export csv file", it didnt work for me. licence might not support it) Is there any other possible ways to obtain .csv file of the 2d curve data? Or any easy command to obtain the coordinates of the points that i used to create splines? Or any other smart way to import this curve into the Star CCM+ CAD model? Thanks in advance! |

When you are able to export the data from your CAD into a file you should be able to create a cvs file from this.
You can import a table like format into a spreadheet and export a cvs or use a programming language like Perl or ... to do it. |

Thanks for advice JBeilke.
I solved the problem in another way. I created surfaces from the curves and giving it a random deepness on the model. So model turned into a 3d model. Then i placed relevant surfaces on Z=0 axis. After that, I imported the body model into Star CCM+ and used "Badge for 2D Meshing" operation to extract the surfaces as 2D model. |
