if you are looking for properties of urea solution, have a look on the BASF website. keyword 'Adblue'.

Hey Polly,

Still some of the properties are missing

Heat of vaporization Heat of formation temperature of formation thermal expansion coefficient

All above properties are need to plug in Star-CD.

Thanks again,

From Lokesh

use the values of water if you don't know them. that should not be too far away from adblue. Are you calculating the chemistry of urea hydrolysis as well?

yep i am calculating some thing like this

The heat needed to melt 1 kg of urea solution could be calculated in the following way:

1 kg solution = 325 g urea + 675 g H2O

325 g urea = 5.42 mole urea 625 g H2O = 37.5 mole H2O

5.42 mole x 15.074 kJ/mole = 81.70 kJ 37.5 mole x 6.012 kJ/mole = 225.45 kJ

--------------------

= 307.15 kJ / kg urea solution

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am currently making a project concerning waterhammer on a network of adblue. But where can I find the fluid properties of the fluid? Especially the bulk modulus (compression modulus ) of the fluid.

Thank you in advance
