Hello All,
I am simulating transient behavior of the radial and tangential forces on the pump impeller in starCCM+. I want to display the variation of the forces on the impeller surface. I followed the following steps: 1) I created a cylindrical co ordinate system at the centre of the pump impeller and took the reports Fx, Fy, Fz and moment (as starccm did not allows to take the reports in r,theta,z direction. 2) I created the field function for the forces to display in scalar plot by multiplication of the area and pressure. the problem is the scalar plots shows the instantaneous value at particular time step but I want to show the avg. value over 3 revolutions. also the values are taken in the x,y,z directions which ideally should be taken in r,theta,z direction. I want: 1) to show avg. values behavior along impeller surface. 2) to show variation of moment along impeller surface. 3) take reports in r, theta, z direction. please help. thanks in advance |

Hi... Don't have much idea about your case. But what you can try is to create a report for force and as impeller is rotating you may have to define rotating co-ordinate system so that you can plot normal force to the impeller face. Create monitor and plot from this report and then you can take average over time period fron the plotted graph.
