I have placed an idea on IdeaStorm to preserve the prostar meshing capabilities within ccm+. If anybody likes this idea and still has some votes available ... :-)

For those of you without access to this page:

The ProStar meshing capabilieties (vgen, cgen , ...) are very powerful for a lot of applications, where automatic meshing fails or where it is impractical. When ProStar will not be available anymore in the future we will lose this extremly flexible tool.

So it would be very good to move the ProStar meshing capabilities into a Plugin for CCM+. Another idea would be the release of this part or the source code to the Community for further developement.

Some of the needed functionality is already partly available in CCM+ but does not work as expected. There a many enhancement requests on this portal but nothing moves on:

• directed mesher for non cad parts
• extruder from one surface to another one for exhaust systems
• extruder and directed mesher might be united
• edit volume meshes:
  • add extrusions
  • split and reorder boundary regions
