henry_cfd_questions is on a distinguished road
Hello every one, I have recently tried to use NX flow to model a flow jet stream blowing with 23 m/s speed normal on a hot plate, the goal is to cool down the plate. The problem came up when I noticed the finer the mesh is, the temperature of the plate drops more and I thought there should be a bottom line to this but there is not, I can go above 10 million elements and the temperatures of the plate will be lower, I know it is using wall function method for boundary layer and y+ is lower than 15 with coarse mesh, the finer the mesh get, the y+ is lower, should I mesh the boundary layer ? NX doesn't do that unless you get a special license, has anyone ever used this flow modeling tool ? any ideas for my problem are appreciate. 😊

By the way the solver is Maya. but mesher is using NASTRAN mesher for flow models.
