Hiya CFD Online,

I have a DEM simulation and am wondering if it's possible to calculate the force on each Lagrangian phase particle just by using the stress tensor and integrating over the surface of each particle (similar to the way that a DFBI simulation would calculate the force on a body), rather than using some of the built-in DEM force models which make some limiting assumptions about the geometry of the particle.

I understand one can create a field function for the stress tensor and then make a surface integral report for that field function, but I can't find a way to define a surface for each particle over which to integrate.
