Default CPU-time on POWER PC vs SGI Octane ?

we are still using a SGI Octane with 2 CPU 300MHz. who has experience with a Power PC / Cluster with 2 CPU concerning the performance compared to the performance of the workstation? we are using hexameshes in the order of 0.1 to 0.5 Mio. cells. best regards ds
