I am using star cd version 3.05 in Window NT version. I think Gambit is more easy to build a grid than prostar. Could you guys give me an advice for this problem. I already read the previous messages, but I does not work in my case. I will wait your reply. Thanks.

Gambit is easier to learn. It has it's good points as well. The 2D pavers are awesome.
However, Prostar is far more powerful once you learn how to use it. The problem is, learning to use it. I have not been able to go directly from Gambit to Prostar. I have been able to go Gambit->Tgrid->Prostar. Some of the other messages I posted describe how to do this. If you write a Patran file from Tgrid and import it into Prostar, it will work. Some of us dinosaurs really appreciate the flexibility of Prostar, yet run our analyses in Fluent. You can go from Prostar to Fluent if you pitstop in Tgrid first. Tgrid is the key link. Chinor |
