Need liscense to run star executables?
Hi, there,
Once starlink makes an executable successfully, I wish I could run it on another machine without StarCD installed. Is this possible? How can I do this? It seems the executable will check the liscense information first, am I right? Suggestions are needed with thanks, Jiaying |
Re: Need liscense to run star executables?
Yes, you are right. To run the executable on a different mashine you have to have a starlok license there. A better way would be to have a floating license installed. Then your system administrator has to make sure that star can find the licenses file.

Thanks for your advice, Helge.
I am currently using a floating liscense. So, can I do this legally and technically? I just wrote to CD but haven't got reply yet. Thanks again, Jiaying |
