Problem in transient analysis

In below, I did mistake. I'm sorry.

What means sweep number? What should I do if it goes to next time step without convergence in transient analysis? what sould I do to determine number of time step?

Re: Problem in transient analysis

For the meaning of sweep number you better check an article "Transient" at www.adapco-online.com (it comes in the section called "Ubderstanding STAR"; BTW, do you know that there is also a user forum there?).

If it goes to next time step without convergence... Well, usually it's bad. If it happens during the first time steps of initial (i.e. no-restart) run, it can be possible that convergence would be achieved latter on. Otherwise you should check your mesh and boundary conditions, adjust the underelaxation factors and/or use more stable differencing schemes (you can find some advices at Adapco site, in the section "Feature Articles", an article called "Debugging"). Increasing the maximum allowed number of sweeps usually would not help you!
