heat capacity=f(T) in solids

Hello,

I want to run a transient calculation in order to calculate temperature profile. I have several solid materials in my model. As I have a wide temperature range(293-1073K) I have to calculate heat capacity as function of temperature for the solids. Calculation with constant heta capacity for solids doesn't make problems, but if I define in user-sub specht.f a linear function for cp, I get unphysical solution (T getting down instead of up) in some parts of the solution domain. Is this a problem of implicit calculation with too big time-steps? Or how can I solve this problems?

Cheers Micha
