Job at CD

Hi all. I have been offered a job as CFD engineer at CD. Apart of money, if you were in my shoes would you accept? If not why?

Cheers Hippie

what a strange question! what kind of answer do you expect? don't you think that people from cd are visiting this forum? what do you expect they will answer?

anyway, it is your decision and you should know if you want to do it or not. if you do not have enough information about the work at CD go there, have a look around, talk to people what they have to do, what there daily work is and so on.

Thomas is right. If I were manager at CD, I would take action to withdraw the job offer since you even can not make such an important decision for yourself.

Re: Job at CD

I am not asking you to decide, indeed I have already made my decision. I know people at CD browse in this site, but I have nothing to hide to them. I know some very nice looking companies, but I know things for which I would never work in those companies. Some of you are very experienced, and maybe some of you have dealt in deep with CD or fluent or whatever else company and could know something that could have made my decision easier. I was only asking for some advice, that's all. Cheers Hippie

London or New York?

Is the job in London or Melville, LI?

Cost of living should be something you consider. Long Island is expensive, if that's where your offer is.

Re: London or New York?

london is even worse, plus the cost of living over here is greater too, so you are damned either way!

Re: London or New York?

I'm sure that's true, Joel.

Anyway, factor in the whole package of where you'll be living (particularly if you have a spouse to consider) in addition to what's expected of you in the position you've been offered, not just the salary alone.

Good luck with your choice, hippie....

I workded at CD before - CD is a very good company to work with. The current salary structure, which is quite competitive, also offers great potential if you are really good. London is a bit expensive, but if you enjoy metropolitain life, London has everything.
