Currently in our group, we run a Linux Redhat cluster for solving and Redhat workstations for pre/post-processing. However, we think there may be advantages to moving to the Windows2000 platform for the workstations (due to the availability of drivers). Does anyone have experience of running this mixture of machine (Linux/W2000) - good, or bad? Please let me know if you do.
An alternative might be to move to Suse Linux for the workstations. Does anyone have any experience with running with this version of Linux? Thanks, John. |

SUSE 8.2 works fine for me. Also no problems with v3.2.
