radiation problem
Hi all,
I' dealing with a complex radiation problem and all checks within prostar are ok, but the compilation fails with the message "error on line 1530 of starin.f: program has invalid use of COMMON name" Any suggestions what could be wrong??? Thx |
Re: radiation problem
Are you running on a 32-bit OS, such as PC Linux? The problem may be that your executable is (or rather would be) too big for the OS. The memory requirement for radiation can be very high as it scales with the (number of patches)**2. If this is the problem, the workaround would be either to change to a machine with a 64-bit OS, or to reduce the number of patches.

Re: radiation problem
Thank you for your help. I have reduced the number of patches and now it works.
