pmovlink script

Hello,

I have another queston. I was doing tutorial 11, 2-D Flow around 2 objects passing each other in the version 3.10. At the end of the tutorial, once I write and save Geometry file and problem file , and save and quit the window.

then they ask me to run pmovlink script and write the given commands for CFD analysis.

pmovlink

n

xm

tut

But I am using 3.15 version of star-CD on windows and I dont know where to write this script and what all should i do with the commands as i dunno how to write and run pmovlink in windows version.

Thanks in advance,

Re: pmovlink script

In STAR-CD Launcher , in "Solve" > "Star" . You have to select "Include User Subroutine" and "Moving mesh case" and then you can run solver .

Hello,

The pmovlink script is only used for Unix/Linux. For Windows, you need only to use the Star-CD launcher by selecting the options you need.

Hello,

Thanks for the help. Now I did as u guys said abt running star from windows and i selected user sub routines and also moving mesh case.

In the star-CD launcher it says "Running stat" but where can I see the process running?

Also in the C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe window it says warning : command execution error please check screen output for details

starin.f compile error

exiting starlink

.............. ..................

f77: error switch f is ambigious

what is the problem and how can i get it fixed though it says running star. is my program running? is the simulation going on in the back ground?? Thanks in advance.. Arnab
