URGENT: command to start STAR-CD 3.2
 
hello, for the previous version starlink worked but is not accepted for STAR-CD 3.2 in the separate window (linux). Please help.

just type 'star'

use 'star --help' to see the various options/flags available

it does not work :( i tried till now starlink star -h star -help star --help

for starting the solver just type "star" or use the "starlaunch"

Thats what I mean. Just type star and the calculation should start.

i started it through navcenter and will try the STAR command tomórrow. Thanks Jörn

... shalt thou type star. No more. No less. Star shalt be the word thou shalt type, and the word of the typing shall be star. Starlink -h shalt thou not type, nor either type thou starlink, excepting that thou then retype to star. Starlink is right out. Once the word star, being the right word, be reached ...

if this is not believed then appendix H of the star userguide is to be read.

perhaps sir, you confuse sir, the heavenly stars with star-cd???

did you do a

source "path to star"/etc/setstar

or equ in ksh

before you tried to run star?

you should see information about

STARDIR: STARINI: CDLMD_LICENSE_FILE: LM_LICENSE_FILE:

ABSOFT:

etc.....

You can try with : star --version 3.200

It should work (by me it works!)
