What is refference & initialization temperature

Reference temperature is used, like for the reference pressure, to set the level from which the reference temperature will be calculated. The initialization temperature is the temperature (absolute) at which all the cells are sets in computational domain at the start of simulation. Anybody correct me if I am wrong.
