parallel computation run; involving two different computers is not that easy for first time users, and very important everybody is not extraordinary like you!

You may try to consider your two computers as a (small) cluster and manage it with MPI.

Ok, this is more details on I want to achieve. I have three computers, networked together. All three are running Windows XP (and yeah, i know XP is not the best option to do this). After I have set everything up, I ran star on one of the pc and here's the last portion of the message I received on the starlaunch window:
C:\WINNT\system32> set PNP_WATCH=0 C:\WINNT\system32> pushd \\acer3\pnp_dir_2005-04-07_16-50-26 Z:\> "\\acer3\star322\lib\loader\star.exe" Z:\> popd process 2 on Vtc-tr-004 exited without calling MPIFinalize Sending kill commands to launched processes process 0 on Acer3 exited without calling MPIFinalize process 1 on Vtc-tr-002 exited without calling MPIFinalize pnp_dir_2005-04-07_16-50-26 was deleted successfully. PNP: Shutdown [2005-04-07-16:52:47] Execution aborted by request (SIGABRT) after 141 seconds (TOTAL ELAPSED TIME). What may be the problem? I also shut down the antivirus and Windows Firewall on all three and yet, the problem still prevails. What's next? All helps are highly appreciated! Shazlan |

What about HPC? Did you try to install it?
