Hi

I would like to upgrade Star CD from v315 to v324, I have already installed this new version and upgraded the vendor & license manager daemon. However the license file is pointed to a license server whose path is something like 'usr/starcd/v315/license/license.dat'. When I try to run it, it just would not let me do it, the error says it can not find an available license for me. The funny thing is that when typing 'lmutil lmdiag' it says that license are ready for check! Do you need to change the license file to upgrade star cd version?

Check your environmental varaibles in .bashrc or whatever your shell is! Of course you have to delete the old path!!

Check the file ".flexlmrc" in the home directory.

You don't have to change the license to upgrade. Probably the best thing to do is just remove the .flexlmrc file in your home directory and let it create a new one.
