Importing Patran files in Comet
 

Hi,

is it possible to import patran mesh file in Comet in a manner that region definitions from imported file will be conserved?

Imported patran input file is crated with external mesh generator.

As a rule of thumb: 1) Use the NASTRAN (resp. NASTRAN-L if you use GridGen) format instead of the PATRAN format. PATRAN export does not always work. 2) You will be able to collect the boundary information unless you export the grid using the STAR-CD format.
