coupling

Hi All,

I just want to know disadvantages of couplings in STARCD. Since my geometry is very complex and I want to use different meshes and couplings. Whats happens if there are too many couplings? Solution time, memory etc etc.

Integral couples should never affect your results, solution time and memory.

Arbitrary couples are OK too, but can be a problem in very high compressible flows (about mach 0.8). The situation becomes worse when partial boundaries are used in such flows.

But for normal cases the implementing of couples in starcd is very god.

Hint: If possible for your complex geometrie, use block structured meshing (escecially for areas to be replaced), and not ProAM.
