leaving black areas
 

hi,

i have some basic problems (using star on unix) and need help:

after i used a toolbox which requires a selection from the main window, this toolbox partly hide my screen. after i chose the option the toolbox disappears but leaving a black area. i could't replot until the selection is done.

can i activate a continuous replot function or anything like that?

hello,

you should enable backing store in your X-Server. The installation guide gives hints how to do it on your unix system. After enabling backing store the black area problem should be gone

Go to /etc/X11/Xconfig file and in Screen section add the following line

Option "BackingStore" "On"
