how to draw velocity profile(in unstructure pipe )
recently I deal with a model using "gambit" software to import in the star cd. The model is a unstructure pipe . I want to get the calculated velocity profile in the outlet of the pipe . Because of unstructure grids,I can not get the vertex set to draw the velocity profile. can anyone help me? thx~

There are several ways of putting in "sensor" points anywhere you want. They don't have to correspond to pre-existing vertices.

how to put in "senso" points

Re: how to draw velocity profile(in unstructure pi
You can define a vertex at the centroid of other verices using the command VVERTEX or cells using the VCELL command. Then use SENSOR,ADD to put the sensors there. Use the help command, of course to get the details of these commands.

Re: how to draw velocity profile(in unstructure pi
Look at help in proSTAR. There is a section called "Commands" (I think). This should contain all commands available in proSTAR. An easier way is to use "help" on the command line or F1. In the help window you can enter a key word ("sensor" in this case); with "Enter" you can browse through all commands where the key word is mentioned in the description.

Re: how to draw velocity profile(in unstructure pi
In the version of 3.2x.
The new gui of grapher is very easy to use. 1. You can choose two vertexs to make a line and setting the number of extract data points (a little like tecplot). 2. load the varable you want. 3. creat the draw. |

To tomosada: if the model built in star cd version 3.15 runs to convergent condition , can I open the model in version 3.2x ?
