can anyone tell me how to use xvision with star-cd

I am interested in that one too. I have newer been able to use xvision together with star-cd. It can't open the display...

XVision is used since pro-STAR is written in Motif. You can also use other toold like Exceed Hummingbird. If you get the warning/error messag the the display cannot be opened you need to adjust your settings for XVision. I don't have pro-STAR in from of me, so it might not be exactly right what I suggest... You should close XVison, go to system settings and open XVision. In one of the panels there are options regarding transport. You need to allow TCP/IP transport. When you restart XVision you should be able to start pro-STAR.

It is mentioned in the installation notes vor 3.150 or in the FAQs in 3.24.

About Xvision I have a problem with it during installation. It shows "cannot install xvision". Therefore I can not use pro-star after the installation. Could anyone tell me how to install xvision in V3.24?
