increasing cell size in STAR-CCM+

Hi

Does anyone know if and how it is possible to have an increasing cell size in one region.

An example could be a pipe where the cell size grows further downstream..

If this isnt possible, can you then think of any alternatives?

Best regards

You can adjust the surface mesh sizes on the individual boundary regions. This would affect the volume mesh size. You also might consider a volume source to increase or decrease the cell size and cell count. (See the help on volume sources, volume shapes.)

Thanks,

I have done it by the volume source method which is actually quite good. Consulting CD-Adapco gave me the same answer..
