I work with a PC with 4G RAM, 2*Xeon CPU and WinXP 64.
In most cases of aerodynamic simulation I get memory error like as maxsc2, maxcut and so on. But when I want to icrease the memory with MEMORY command there is no more memory. I want to know: 1- Is not enough 4G RAM for star-cd? 2- This kind of errors depend on what? Memory of system or swap space on HARD disk? 3- What is the solution? Please don't tell me use the MEMORY command or edit the param file. These are not real solution. I think something is wrong in using the software. BR |

you need to run prosize, outside of prostar to change maxcut etc, and then rerun prostar.
Use Linux if your serious about cfd, don't use windows. |

David,
Please delete the param.prp and param.bak of your model. Then reopen your model again. Hopefully this can help. |
