Hi...
I am trying to get the area average of pressure in a section of the duct. What I am doing right now... 1. Collect the cells 2. Create shells on the face of the cells 3. getc p - to get the pressure values for these cells 4. summ cset - to get the average values 5. oper getc area 5- to get the areas into register 5 Problem In the post registers, when the pressure is non zero, the area is zero and vice versa. The product of the two columns is always zero. Am I missing any vital steps in the process? Regards Radhika |

Hi Ben
I did create shells on the face that I needed the average. I am a little confused about the parameters for the pmap command though. Can you help me with that please. Or is there a GUI method to do pmap. Regards Radhika |

Hi, why don't you use the INTEGRATE command. It will give yo the summ of p times A, and the summ of A Iy you divide both values you will get the Area Averaged pressure.
