Finding a more accurate volume for each cell
I use the command VOLUME, from the utilities menu. I make a script, and I get the volume for each cell. I import these data to another program and I sum the values. When I sum the total cell volume in Star-CD, I get 249.466 m^3. When I sum it in Mathlab I get 249.4701 m^3. This is a huge deviation for my problem, and can cause a error of upto 10%.
--- CUT --- Volume 1 FOR CELL 1: VOLUME = 0.331032E-03 --- CUT --- I see that Star-CD only lists 0.331032E-03 for this example case, but I guess it has stored much more accurate values. How do I get hold of these values? Thanks in advance. |
Re: Finding a more accurate volume for each cell
I figured it out.
oper getc volu 4, fills the post register 4 with the volumes. |
