Hi everybody. I'm a newcomer in study star ccm and would like to seek some help from you guys to solve a problem that is bothering me a lot recently.

I used table (time) boundary condition to solve the unsteady problems in star ccm+, but the error message keeps popping up though I tried several different import files.

Error: Non-existent dataname in table

Error: A star.base.neo.NeoException exception has occurred.

Can anyone here help to explain the meaning of 'error message' and suggest the way to solve the errors? Recommendations on related textbook or other materials would be highly appreciated too. Please contact me via email:

Thanks a lot!

... have you checked your list by a view in the table editor (length, notation, etc.). may be the syntax is not correct ('time' is missing, brackets missing, etc)!?

... take care when inlet or mass flow condition is coming close to zero! As far as I know ccm can manage this and will die! Use a small value instead!

... good luck!
