Uniformly varying grid in 2d

Hi I want to construct a uniformly varying grid both in x and y direction in 2d cartisian domain. Later I want to use that for axisymmetric case. I know how to do it in 3d case. Can anybody tell me how to do this in 2d. Thanks in advance.

Hi Manu,

Since you already can do it in 3D case, then you just have to live surf from the cell to get the 2D shell.

Thanks for the reply. I used the method suggested by you. It is not solving the purpose, I need uniform numbering of the cells, star is creating shells with cell numbers arbitrarily given, not in order (means inreasing in x direction). But is there any other method. I have one more question, can we use nested loops in StarCD scriting language. Regards Manu.

Perhaps you can delete all fluid cell and compress the cell number. The shell will renumber starting from 1.
