Fan modelling using body forces

Hi, I've just modellized a flow through a fan using MRF, and now i'd like to do it using body forces. Does anybody has experience with this? Thanks for your answers!

Re: Fan modelling using body forces

U can model a fan in Star using sormom.f subroutine and define the fluid region as a Momentum source. U have to know only the dP and the fan geometry. If U cannot use subroutines U can use table script.

Re: Fan modelling using body forces

hi, I am simulating FAN as u told, but i don't have any idea of how to give S1U,S1V,S1W, etc.. Can u pls tell me, how can i calculate those VARIABLE values.? Also is it possible to give direction of fan blade rotation.? Is there any relation for calculating moemtum generated by FAN which i am going to insert in to cellset?

Thanks Navaldi A
